Outside Mexico City's Sports Pavilion, hundreds of young Rage fans rattle metal fences and throw rocks at the increasingly nervous police. Inside, a seething crowd of 5,000 lucky ticket holders cram into the cavernous pavilion chanting anti-government slogans and poking their middle fingers into the thick, sweaty air while waiting for Rage Against the Machine to storm the stage.

One of the greatest live acts in music history, Rage only affirms that fact with this show. Whatever club, theater, arena, or stadium they're in, the opening of each Rage Against the Machine show always feels like a grenade has gone off. But this night it was as if a truckful of bombs blew up as the band tore into the opening salvo of "Testify." Fans cascaded toward the stage like rippling waves stopping only to pogo up-and-down like jackhammers.

The Wall była olbrzymim sukcesem grupy. Album został najlepiej sprzedającą się podwójną płytą w historii muzyki rockowej. Płyta poza dwoma utworami, w których komponowaniu wziął udział Gilmour, była autorskim dziełem Watersa. Pierwszy też raz od czasów Atom Heart Mother zastosowano aranżacje orkiestrowe. Na płycie prawie nieobecne były instrumenty klawiszowe (jak się potem okazało, w czasie nagrywania płyty Richard Wright został wykluczony z grupy z powodu jego pogłębiającego się konfliktu z Watersem). Album okazał się być jednym z kamieni milowych, jeśli nie grupy, która w tym czasie już się rozpadała, to na pewno muzyki rockowej.

Takida to alternatywny zespół rockowy z Ånge, Szwecja, założony w 1999 roku. Nazwa zespołu „Takida” pochodzi od postaci Gohei Takeda z japońskiego serialu anime Nagareboshi Gin. Nazwa Takedy została źle wymawiana jako „Takida” w szwedzkim lektorze anime.

W 2000 roku nagrali swoje pierwsze demo, „Old”, aw 2005 roku zostali zarejestrowani przez szwedzką niezależną wytwórnię Ninetone Records. Wydali swój pierwszy singiel „Losing” w styczniu 2006 r., Aw kwietniu 2006 r. Wydali swój pierwszy album… Make You Breathe. Ich drugi album, Bury the Lies, został wydany w maju 2007 roku. 18 sierpnia 2009 r. Takida ogłosiła, że podpisała umowę z globalną firmą Roadrunner Records. Pierwszym wydawnictwem poza Skandynawią będzie Bury The Lies w Niemczech 2 października.

Jesienią 2009 roku Takida wspierał Theory of a Dead Man w swoich czterech niemieckich koncertach i był wsparciem dla The Butterfly Effect, kiedy koncertowali w Niemczech zimą 2009 roku. W tym okresie mieli pierwszą trasę koncertową w Szwecji.

28 września 2012 r. Wydali nowy singiel „Swallow (Until You're Gone)”, pierwszy singiel ich największego hitu albumu „A Lesson Learned - The Best Of” album został wydany pod koniec 2012 r.

7 stycznia 2014 roku ukazał się pierwszy singiel z nadchodzącego albumu All Turns Red. Piosenka nazywa się One Lie, a nowy album ma ukazać się w marcu.
